People take Pepsi, Microsoft, and Coke for granted since they are such everyday things - brands like Apple generated alot of hoopla with the slick marketed I-Pod which all of a sudden became the "in" thing. People thought about its aesthetics and branding more than anything else - its what sells the thing, that, at its core is no better or worse than many MP3 players at half the price.

While I won't consider it number 1, Apple in the top 5 globally (and even higher in North America) would make sense. Their latest marketing strategy is absolutely brillaint (as much as i hate it cause i dont want a complete generation of kids growing up on apple) IKEA seems spot on as well!
