I'm interested to see what the reaction to this is. Personally I think he killed her, and I'm glad he got convicted. I am actually surprised he got convicted in the 1st degree however, I didn't think there was enough evidence for it, I figured he'd get 2nd degree murder instead. What are everyone's thoughts on this verdict? |

Don't get me wrong. I think this asshole deserves to be punished, and punished harshly. But I dont think death is going to really do anything to resolve the situation |

Yea, I kind of agree with you. I'm mixed on the death penalty issue. On one side, I don't think it's right to take someone's life, even if they commited a serious crime. But on the other, I think about how I would feel if I were Laci's father or brother. Or rather, if something happened to someone in my family. I would probably want the person who did it dead. |
