Actually, I would refrain from saying that any person dying is "good" (well, except for Osama and his thugs ) because, well, he is still a human being. Is it overall good regarding the crisis in the Middle East? YES YES and YES.

Yeah but Lecter, this isn't like an assasination. I don't think any political leader should be shot, but that's just because I think it just adds to further destabilization of political structures. Arafat's an old guy and he never looked all that healthy anyways. I think its fine if he kicks the bucket naturally. Heaven knows there wasn't really any other way to get him out of there, its all been tried. This reminds me of all the stuff that generated around Abacha (sp?) and then he off and had a heart attack anyways.

Arafat is part of a very special group of human beings that I wish death upon. Fidel Castro and Osama bin Laden are among the group too.

His death can only be for the better. Having someone new there would force Israel to negotiate with the Palestinian Authority again.

Like dolce said, though, it might not change anything. I'm holding out hope, though.

It isnt an assassination. For which I'm glad. Otherwise things would be terrible.

I have always been in disagreeance with Krem on this topic so its no surprise that I feel a bit bad ... not just because its sad to see someone just die but just because ...

I'm glad he died old and of natural causes if its true.

Now if someone can actually post a link.

I do understand that, it is just that I am not dancing in glee over it. Overall, I do think that it will help. Oh and as for political leaders being shot...you think it would have been sad if Hitler was shot back then?

Thats shocking .. you've always assumed the solution to all the problems will be his death.

Never said that. I always said that Arafat is the barrier to peace in the Middle East.

yes you have... I've asked you clearly on more than one occassions how you think this problem will be solved and your first answer has always been "Get rid of arafat"

Not necessarily. Were a chaotic and possibly violent power struggle to develop, the main beneficiary is likely to be Hamas. And I hope you're not going to tell me that you think radical Hamas extremists would be 'for the better.'

I meant it as a joke Lecter. You were saying its not good to be happy that someone is dead, so you "sugar coated" a way to say it was good, without actually saying "Yay he is dead"
It was just a joke...
