Yeah but Lecter, this isn't like an assasination. I don't think any political leader should be shot, but that's just because I think it just adds to further destabilization of political structures. Arafat's an old guy and he never looked all that healthy anyways. I think its fine if he kicks the bucket naturally. Heaven knows there wasn't really any other way to get him out of there, its all been tried. This reminds me of all the stuff that generated around Abacha (sp?) and then he off and had a heart attack anyways. :roll:

Arafat is part of a very special group of human beings that I wish death upon. Fidel Castro and Osama bin Laden are among the group too. His death can only be for the better. Having someone new there would force Israel to negotiate with the Palestinian Authority again. Like dolce said, though, it might not change anything. I'm holding out hope, though.

Overall, I do think that it will help. Oh and as for political leaders being shot...you think it would have been sad if Hitler was shot back then?

Were a chaotic and possibly violent power struggle to develop, the main beneficiary is likely to be Hamas.
