Is heroin legal in the US? When she comes out of hospital, will she be charged? How does it work exactly? Or do the police give you a break if you overdose? |

I don't think police are allowed to ask for medical records without probable cause? Or a case already in progress? And if she doesn't have it on her, they couldn't search her home without a warrant. |

Do they need to ask for her medical records? I mean, it is plastered over every news site. Isn't that enough to be allowed to check at least this one admittance into hospital? |

Now they are saying it was not heroin. Maybe she was drinking while also taking pills? Or maybe it was an attempted suicide. Perhaps I am stereotyping, but heroin isn’t a rich person drug. It’s become a drug for people who can’t afford to support their pill habits. I know it killed Phillip Seymour Hoffman though I can’t imagine he started doing it after he became successful. |
