I did champion All Is Lost and Byzantium (and mine will not be the only ballot to feature the latter, just wait and see), but, in other cases, my choices are more "political." For Best Actor, for example, I know Dennis Quaid, in At Any Price, has zero, zero, zero chance. I do not believe anyone else here has even watched the film, so I included another, higher profile performance I also admire in the fifth slot instead.
