Women not allowed in metrosexual grooming thread. Unless you have fragrance/shaving advice. Go discuss makeup and yogurt in your own place. jk

PS, did you know that Grooming Lounge.com sells makeup for men? Adam Lambert craze has (apparently) gone too far.

There's a location in Atlanta. Go there and let them help you. Tell them you have a limit of <$25 per product.

<$25? Who says I don't have expendable income now ;)

But seriously, if the product is good I'm willing to pay a little more for it.

I'll look up those that you said (I'm actually getting close to needing to replace my other products anyway). Where did you say you get them from?

In D.C. we have this nifty little chain called BlueMercury. I think there are other locations too.

I like going there, despite the high prices, because I can return anything that I don't like, even after it's been used. They're also generous with sampling.

I also like The Grooming Lounge -- (also) D.C. based and very flexible with returns/generous with samples.

They also ship so I was looking through them last night.

Well, drugstore products are quite decent. Brands like Neutrogena have way bigger R&D budgets than the men's brands.

I actually wouldn't advise you to buy anything over say $30-35, because it's probably phony or loaded with extracts that have no proven benefit. If you're buying on GroomingLounge, try out Baxter. I think they make good stuff. Jack Black, Anthony Logistics, and MenScience also make good stuff. Urth is good, but it's more expensive. The others...idk...they cost too much and make weird claims that I don't believe.

The body bars are great. I use them exclusively. My brother's started stealing mine in the shower...and he generally likes stinky Neutrogena Men stuff (if you've ever smelled it, you'll know what I'm talking about. It's like Axe, but worse).

I just ran to the shower and checked. It's actually Gillette for Men. It's like a 3/1 Body Wash/Shampoo/Face Wash and smells like mexican + axe +sweat. All in one. Ok, that was really racist.

Yeah it was but I know what you meant.

I'm looking for a better shower gel. I've got Dove exfoliating now (it's cheapish and decent...but I'd like to find something a little better)

I use their soap, but you should try the shower gel:

Mint: http://www.nancyboy.com/index.php?main_ ... cts_id=113

Cucumber: http://www.nancyboy.com/index.php?main_ ... cts_id=114

I also really like Anthony Logistics Eucalyptus. And Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Castile Soap, which you can find at any Whole Foods. I used it for pretty much everything when I was in Costa Rica last Fall. Shaving, face, soap, laundry, even sometimes toothpaste (it works!).

im confused... i thought the mexican and sweat smell was the same thing. Or the Mexican smell equals not taking a shower in 3 days smell... ??

Not necessarily cheap, just powerful and cloyingly masculine.

I don't wear any because I'm very sensitive to perfume, but I like Terre d' Hermes by Hermes and Rive Gauche by Yves Saint Laurent

I'll have to order a bottle.

Make sure you join Club Nancy. You save 15% on every order just for signing up for the mailing list (where you'll get a REALLY FUNNY e-mail once-a-month) and they'll throw you a travel size (2 oz) item when you spend $40 or more.

I should work for them :P

Does anyone have any experience with toners with alcohol in them?

I'm looking to add alpha hydroxy acid into my mix (even though it'll make mornings a pain in the butt). This seems like the most logical add-on, but has alcohol in it: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod. ... atid=10210

Oh this soap was great too. It smells (because it is sulfer based) but worked wonders on body acne and my face as well: http://www.amazon.com/Joesoef-Anti-Acne ... 069&sr=8-4

Just make sure to wear some sort of fragrance afterward. ;)

rossino, what moisturizer with SPF do you use on your face? As I'm nearly 100% recovered from my surgeries, I'm about to being going out in the sun again. So to combat a return of skin cancer, I'm basically going to become a slut for SPF shit.
