I don't like the Democrats, the Republicans, Trump, Hillary, Obama, or even Joe Biden, but...

What goes around
Goes around
Goes around
Always comes back around

No, aren't you aware? We liberals control the Deep State and run everything! We can get anything we want because we are so powerful behind the scenes! So powerful! Except we can't win elections or get national health care or stop the republican tax plan or keep him from getting rid of all the environmental protections or join in the global fight against climate change or ...

Or maybe ... just maybe ... Trump and his followers are crazy paranoid conspiracy nuts.

Hmmm. Which one is more likely?

Amazing it has taken this long for Trump's first public hair-do flap.

So, he wants a military parade. What a terrible idea and makes him look more like a dictator. If that happens, I hope I am not working in DC by then.

Much of his fan base is too dim to see the irony and those bright enough will make excuses.

"We can't afford to help homeless vets. We don't have the money to improve veteran's hospitals. Hey, let's spend $21 million on a big parade! For me!"

What an insecure narcissist.

Are you going to take a different Government job in some other place? Isn't NoVa/DC like Hollywood or Wall Street for you? You currently live there with the Orange one so I doubt you will move.

I am a Park Ranger and prefer somewhere with more trees. DC is too expensive especially on Park ranger salaries. I have no plans staying here more than 2 more years. It is a hard place to move up to get a promotion for various reasons.

Not sure it is either. I have just come to the conclusion that Shack has mental issues.

Eh. A great deal of Dems still don't grasp that the economic recovery was non-existent in much of the USA. Sure, much of it is their own fault for voting for GOP constantly, but still.

Both.

Got can only thank themselves, though. They vote GOP for state government who cut education systematically. Stupidest states are almost all run by GOP and commit lowest % of funds to education. Citizens arent employable and company flock elsewhere.

Pence's state of Indiana is a great example. Just don't tell the people they're not as intelligent as others, even when test after test proves it.

What the hell are you talking about with respect to Indiana? You are utterly wrong.

https://www.nasbo.org/reports-data/state-expenditure-report (download the full report).

As a % of total spending, about 29% of Indiana's spending went to elementary and secondary education between 2015-17. Spending also increased about 2.3% over those years in raw dollars.

That is more than Massachusetts, New York, California, Illinois, Oregon, Hawaii, Connecticut, and many others.

And no, I am not saying this is even a relevant metric. But you are.

I'll keep your intelligence testing quip secret.

I have never heard anything about Indiana being a dumb state. I wouldn't call it full of genius but not stupid. It isn't like Alabama or Mississippi.

Why do you say that? Seems slightly racist of you. No state in the union has a higher percentage of African Americans than Mississippi's 37.3% per the 2010 census. Alabama is also top 10 along with states like Louisiana, South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina. Which, if I had to guess, you would also agree to be stupid states (before reading this, I mean). Probably because they voted for Trump or are perceived to be subsidized by blue states, or whatever. I always find it interesting the hate those states receive.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_by_African-American_population

Just seems odd to single out those states for being stupid.

I don't think it has anything to do with racism, but just with the level of education in those states.

http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2016/06/50_states_ranked_by_intelligen.html

Alabama and Mississippi are 47th and 48th.

I am from Washington state. I was only pointing out that liberals preen about intersectionality and checking ones privilege but then are first to say a state like Mississippi is stupid and a leach when it has a significant minority population compared to a much beloved liberal state like Vermont or Massachusetts which gets praise for being smart and a contributor state.

Are you a Charles Murray fan? You are restating exactly the point I was making. And I have been told for years by liberals that IQ tests are discriminatory or racist.

It isn't racism those two have some of the lowest levels of education. A poor education system generally leads to less intelligent people.

You called Mississippi and Alabama "stupid" which I don't think necessarily means poorly educated. Donald Trump is stupid but he is not poorly educated in terms of prestige of institutions attended--just ask him.

I'll leave it at that for you to reflect on the logical conclusion of your statement.

IQ is mostly independent from education. It's inherited. Genetic.

That's a vast simplification. IQ is influenced by genes as well as environment.
