Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
But if it does happen and is called throughout the game, he shouldn't have put himself in the situation of having the reg "possibly" make a bad call. There was 8 seconds on the shot clock; make Pierce come to you, do the same thing and chances are the call will go your way since Pierce would've been the one to initiate contact.
Or better yet, don't get outscored by 14 points in the second half.

Or better yet, don't get outscored by 14 points in the second half. Not saying that's the sole reason why they lost. Knicks played shit in the third quarter and Amare just went quiet in the last 2min of the game after dominating the majority of the 4th quarter. But that foul was a bad call regardless. In the end, I think the Knicks are fine actually if Billups is healthy. They can still easily win game 2, and if they do, I think they'll have the series. Hell, even if they don't, they can still win. The atmosphere in NYC is going to be crazy. Celtics will have their work cut out on the road. But if Billups is hurt, completely different series. Oh I know. My point was more along the lines of that the Knicks put themselves in the position to fail throughout the second half so it's no shock that they fucked themselves into that call. And I agree that if Billups is healthy that the Knicks are fine. Going in to this game and even after it, I thought it wouldn't be too much of a shock if the Knicks won the series. They still can but Game 2 is a must win for them. The Celtics proved twice this year that they can win in New York.

It was a bullshit call against Melo. Plain and simple.

That was a bullshit foul call. That ref should be fined for that.

Yeah... I'm not a Celtics fan or Knicks fan, but that was a terrible call to make at the end of the game. All around the officiating was horrible the first couple days, but the games were good.
I've got nobody to root for this year... so, I'm just rooting for every team not named the Miami Heat. I'm the biggest fan of whatever team is playing them at the moment.
Don't care who beats them, but somebody better.

Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
By the hair on their chiny chin chin. That was a game the Celtics had no business losing and couldn't afford to lose. The one thing they need to change heading in to Friday is to have the entire team go inside more. Melo single-handedly kept the Knicks in the game and that's because he went inside. By himself I think he wound up with only two less free throws than the entire Celtics team had in four quarters. The Knicks I think wound up with at least 10 more attempts.
And if the Celtics bench continues to blow leads like they have... far from championship worthy.

Looks like the Grizz tanking at the end of the season was the right move. Does this surprise anyone though? It's got to be the least shocking major upset in sports history.

Golden State swept Dallas that year in the regular season, though.

Also, Golden State had the best offense in the league that year. Memphis doesn't even score 100 ppg.

It's definitely not over though. Would be an embarrassing way to end the Spurs dynasty. I find it hard to believe that Pop will let it happen so easily.

Spurs are done. Let's face it. I'm kinda glad too. I want to see a changing of the guard. I also didn't realize Memphis was that scrappy a team. I knew Zach Johnson was a good player. He kills in fantasy but they just seem to be making all the big shots in this series.

Yes, Manu being hindered is the reason Memphis is shooting 47% (Over 50% in Games 1 and 4)

It does. And because you're a Dallas fan, you say it doesn't. Because you, for some reason, think that that Mavs team is better than this Spurs team.

Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
The only person I saw that predicted Memphis to win was Charles Barkley.
So... I win.
And again, just because YOU say that Mavs team was better and that Golden State team was worse does not make it so.

Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
I went to the thunder game today and unfortunately there were no late game heroics this time. The thunder just could not stop Memphis from getting offensive rebounds in addition to getting in Randolphs face. Everytime they seemed to get close in the 3rd quarter the grizzlies would make a big shot to push that lead back up. It also seemed like they missed hardly Amy free throws. I think the stats had it as five missed for Memphis. I'm not excited about losing game 1 because historically that puts your team in a hole but I think they should rebound in game two and win a game on the road to get things back on course. Finally, it was very entertaining. The crowd was very loud. The noisemakers they provided were vuvuzela level annoying but it was fun to use it.

Memphis played out of their minds. Fairly certain they won't keep it up.

We have to win game 3. Can't let this team have any sign of life. Beat them to the ground before they wake up and realize that they should be beating us. I feel the same way. Mavs have too often disappointed in the playoffs. Game 3 is MUST WIN for them. I can't believe this is even happening
