Re: The PGA Tour 2009 Thread
Tiger should've went for the kill yesterday, it's his own fault.

Yeah, even though Tiger shot a poor 75 and missed a bunch of makable putts today, Yang won it with clutch putts himself and two super shots at No. 14 and 18.

Yang looks like a Samurai right now.
It's also neat hearing his interpreter have a british accent.

Re: The PGA Tour 2009 Thread
Just wanted to throw this out there...
This is really the first time Tiger has been "alone" during a round. I mean, he's not a big talker unless it's with a good friend, but he couldn't relax at all today because he couldn't talk to his competitor.

Meh, I was just throwing it out there. Even when you're playing with someone you don't know, it's more comfortable than playing with someone who speaks a different language.

I don't think Tiger was trying to get out of the way; otherwise, he would have finished his putt first and give Yang the glory by himself, especially when the respective distance for their putts were similar.

Re: The PGA Tour 2009 Thread
If Tiger goes first, then Yang just gets to sit there, waiting, thinking. By him going first, the crowd will still be at it's peak from his approach shot. Tiger knew his last chance was his approach/chip, when that failed, it was just him going through the motions.

Oh, and even though Tiger played "awful", if he makes the par on 17 and Yang misses, Tiger wins it.
