Utah is in a power conference so they have no excuse. About last night, I think Alabama had some awful play calling. They were running the ball well and made stupid passing attempts in the first half, and then in the second when they need to score ran the ball three straight times. Lane Kifflin is an idiot.

Yep, Lane Kiffin did not do well.

I hope Jameis Winston stays in FSU for one more year. Long shot I know :(

Houston just scored 22 points in the final 6 minutes and recovered TWO onside kicks and went for TWO to win the game.

INCREDIBLE.

I would have liked the BCS still in place but you take the playoff teams from their rankings. Then you will still have the chance if getting a Boise st / BYU / utah&tcu (pre power) in the top 4 or 8. Right now those teams have no chance in this selection committee stuff. Plus, the BCS champ had a better trophy.

Boise State and Utah both had their chance to make a statement, and they lost. Boise got destroyed by Ole Miss and Utah lost to Oregon.

Teams outside of the power 5 need to schedule better/tougher as well.

I'm referring to the past times when tcu, Utah, Boise were undefeated with no chance at the championship. I doubt if you took those undefeated seasons and plugged them in this year if they would have made the playoff. There's always that stigma of the conference they play in and now with a small committee it's even more restrictive than ever.

One thing I would like the committee to do is... use blind resumes. Take the names out of the equation.

I get you, and I agree. Scheduling tougher non-conference games would offset that stigma, imo.

Yes, I like that idea.

OK, who does everyone have tonight?

I think Ohio State is a lot better than people think... but I think having a QB who has only played 2 games will end up hurting them in the turnover department. And I don't think they'll be able to stop Oregon's run game.

35-27 Oregon

Not sure how it's a problem. People keep saying it's a problem, but it's not. It would be a problem in the NFL.

If Cardale goes pro, then Braxton will start, with JT as backup. If all 3 stay, I'm sure one will want to transfer. It's really only a problem for those 3 people. I don't think Urban cares who stays.

Yeah Coach 1K is probably the best coach active today, although he is certainly past his prime

This may be Kentucky's year, but 11 straight power five champions in a row is nothing to sneeze at.

Tucky gonna make every team they face look HS level, I expect 20+ point beat downs.

While Kentucky will probably win the title this year no doubt, they are a very beatable team. This is a classic Calapari intimidation team, one of his better teams frankly up there with Memphis of 2008 and Kentucky of 2012, but they can be beaten given the right match up. I think a team like Baylor poses the biggest threat to Kentucky. They are a zone team that will force Kentucky to shoot, which with the Harrison twins they can, but it is still a weakness for them. Meanwhile Baylor can match Kentucky on the glass, and have a high potential for three point shooting which is the key for an upset. Mark my words, if Baylor ends up in Kentucky's bracket, watch out for the upset.

I actually think you said it last year too. Just search your name and Baylor. You say it a lot :/

Baylor looked like crap last night, might have to rethink my final four predictions? But then again Connecticut won it all last year and they looked awfully week during their last week of their season last year so who knows?
