The Top 10 is pretty close to my list except for The Thing......not a big fan. Maybe I'll need to give it another watch as it has been a while.

The scene in The Thing where they test the blood samples is one of the most suspenseful I've ever seen, and I love the hopeless and foreboding ending.

Of the movies listed, I would have considered Jaws, Alien, Scream, A Nightmare on Elm St., The Blair Witch Project, Evil Dead I & 2, Army of Darkness, Signs, The Mist (awesome ending), Pitch Black (love the Riddick character), and Trick r Treat for my list. Horror is probably my least favorite genre though.

Se7en is one of my all time favorite movies, but I don't consider it horror.

It's really a shame that Evil Dead didn't make it. Landmark horror. The Exorcist, on the other hand...one of the most overrated films ever, not just horror.

I was hoping An American Werewolf in London would go a bit further.

The Ring and Blair Witch would both make my list, I enjoyed both of them immensely.
