Last week we learned Colin Farrel has signed on to play Douglas Quaid in the upcoming remake of 'Total Recall.'  This week, details have begun to emerge regarding the potential plot.

According to producer Neal Moritz, the plot of the film will stay fairly true to Phillip K. Dick's short story 'We Can Remember It for You Wholesale.' 

“It’s closer to the book, the big difference is we don’t go to space,” Moritz says.  "We’re playing it like a real world, but there’s all these technological advancements to the real world, and it’s just really, it’s cool."

He goes on to say, "Instead of it being a spaceship that takes us to another planet, there’s something that takes us from one side of the planet to another that’s really interesting.”

Moritz also let slip that the movie will not be shot in 3D.  Check out Collider for the full interview.
