Indiana Jones and James Bond are a team for the first team in Wild Wild West 2, I mean Cowboys and Aliens.  Yes, it sounds like a title to a camp Sci-fi film, but the movie is very serious.  Selling a serious action movie with a silly title is very tricky.  Reviews are mixed at best, although the marketing has been very aggressive and screen allocations are big as usual.  Despite the tentpole potential, I don't see a 10k pta for this cause interest is slightly lower than Super 8 and Battle LA, so it will have to settle for a 9k pta in 3750 locations.

La la la la la la, now you know the tune.  The Smurfs will be running around in 3395 mushrooms, I mean theaters.  The nostalgia factor is there, and the trailers did get some good response.  Interest polls are a bit higher than of Yogi Bear.  Reviews are negative, but that shouldn't matter with the kiddies, but it will prevent it from getting a broad audience.  I gave it a 6k pta, cause the 3D will hurt some of it's potential.

Crazy Stupid Love.  Two of these words describe me (guess which two....huh, I thought so).  3020 theaters are Crazy and Stupid enough to play this Love movie.  Joking aside, it does has a star studded cast, and reviews are on the fresh side, but on the other hand, the positive reviews are barely positive, and the negative ones are very negative, meaning that this one could get mixed reaction from audiences.  The trailers were not particularly funny, and neither are the TV spots.  All in all, I don't see anything above a 5.5k pta.

Among Holdovers, Captain America is pretty self explanatory.  Harry Potter would have held better, but the midweek numbers do not dictate this.  Friends with Benefits would have held better, but that Wednesday drop is a bit alarming.  Horrible Bosses will drop bigger than previous weekends, but will still have the lowest drop in the top ten. Transformers sees new competition, as will Zookeeper and Cars 2 (the latter also caused by it's theater drop).  This the Scottie signing out...la la, la la la la....
