Hangover II Overtakes Original at Box Office

Another Hangover, Another Win for the Box Office

As of this Sunday, June 19th, the Hangover II has surpassed it's predecessor in total Box Office in large part due to the increased overseas revenue generation. With overseas revenue reaching $256 million the movie's total globabl revenue hit $488.7 million an impressive $20 million more than the first Hangover made in total. Keeping in mind this all happened with in the first month of it's release this movie will have no problem toppling the staggering half a billion mark once all is said and done.

This also means that Hangover II is now the highest grossing R Rated comedy of all time!

I smell a sequel......and Sex Panther.

I heard the sequel was a retread, but a decent retread at least. I'll hate if they throw out another film just because they can. If I'm running the studio, I'm waiting a solid 5 years before re-visiting this story. Hopefully then enough time has passed where a fresh story can be crafted.

agreed kj, but with a solid half billion plus grosser on their hands, i fear they're going to shit the third volume out within 2 years.
