Prediction above for span between 6/17/2011 and 16/19/2011

Looking to open at the top spot is the Green Lantern, tracking is indicating a opening around 55 million, but since it's in 3-D I am saying it going to open lower than that, because 3-D movies for the most part have been opening lower than tracking this year;I am prediction 45.3M opening weekend for the Green Lantern. In 2nd place is last weekends top movie Super 8, with good WOM it should have a good hold for a 21.6M 2nd weekend. In 3rd is Mr. Popper's Penguins opening near tracking for a 20.4M weekend. In 4th in X-Men: First Class dropping by a little over half again for a 11.8M weekend. 5th is Kung Fu Panda with another good hold for 11.2M weekend. At 6th is The Hangover Part 2 for another 10.5M. 7th is Bridesmaids continuing with good holds for 7.6M this weekend. 8th is On Strange Tides for another 7.1M.  9th will be Midnight In Paris with it's theater count expanding less than recent weeks, I see it weekend numbers starting to drop after increasing in past weeks, I say 25% drop for a 4.4M weekend. 10th will be Judy Moody for a 4M weekend, with a good hold, being a family movie most family movies have a good 2nd week hold. That's it for this week.

Super 8 will probably have an even better hold than that, we might see a sub-35% drop thanks to Father's Day and lack of strong direct competition. Green Lantern looks pretty much spot on. Bridesmaids and Midnight in Paris will both drop less, I'd say.
